BEIT ZVI SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS in Ramat Gan

Founded in 1961 with the support of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Beit Zvi has been in existance longer than any other school of this kind in Israel. In addition to its three-year acting program the school also trains stage managers, designers and stage directors.

Annual enrolment is about 50 and there is a rigorous and selective screening during the first two years of education. The third year students work with leading directors and designers to put on an avarage of 15 scheduled productions, twice or three times the number of other Israeli acting schools.

1985 witnessed the opening of the Library Theatre, adjacent to the school, the purpose of which is to provide professional opportunities to Beit Zvi graduates.
