Jury Rewards Verdict

Verdict

The Jury of the 5th International Theatre Schools Festival, having seen 15 performances from 13 countries, has decided to grant the following awards:

- Jan Kreczmar Award, funded by the Polish Theatre Artitsts’ Association to Jacek Beler for the role in the performance “Moulin Noir” from the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy in Warsaw;

- Jury Award for the Best Supporting Actor to Philipp Dyachkov for the role of Dymov in the performance “The Grasshopper” from the Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy;

- Jury Award for the Best Leading Actor to Jovan Belobrković for the role of Singer in the performance “The Class Enemy” from the Academy of Arts, University of Novi Sad;

- ex aequo Jury Award for the Best Leading Actress to Ekaterina Tarasova for the role of Olga Ivanovna in the performance “The Grasshopper” from the Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy;

- ex aequo Jury Award for the Best Leading Actress to Lorena Zăbrăuţanu for the role of Elisabeth I, Queen of England in the performance “Elisabeth I” from the National University of Drama and Film “I.L. Caragiale” in Bucharest;

- Award for Group Excellence to the University of Theatre and Film in Budapest for the performance “Pain”;

- Award for Group Excellence to the Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy for the performance “The Grasshopper”;

- Jury Prize to the Academy of Arts, University of Novi Sad for the performance “The Class Enemy”;

- Grand Prix of the 5th International Theatre Schools Festival to the Ateneo Theatre Centre in Rome for the performance “Isabella the Faithful”.
